Agency for Health Care Research and Quality

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ) mission is to improve the quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of health care for all Americans. 

Alliance for Health Reform 

In the heat of debate, opinion leaders need an unbiased source of information so they can understand the roots of the nation's health care problems and the trade-offs posed by competing proposals for change. The Alliance for Health Reform exists to provide that information.

Center for Studying Health System Change

Based in Washington, D.C. the nonpartisan Center for Studying Health System Change (HSC) conducted health policy research and analysis focused on the U.S. health care system. As of December 31, 2013, no new content has been added to the website.

The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation.

KFF is a nonprofit, private operating foundation focusing on the major health care issues facing the nation. The Foundation is an independent voice and source of facts and analysis for policymakers, the media, the health care community, and the general public.

National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Health and Medicine Division 

HMD’s aim is to help those in government and the private sector make informed health decisions by providing evidence upon which they can rely.

National Coalition on Healthcare 

The National Coalition on Health Care (NCHC) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization of organizations. Our growing Coalition represents more than 80 participating organizations, including medical societies, businesses, unions, health care providers, faith-based associations, pension and health funds, insurers, and groups representing consumers, patients, women, minorities and persons with disabilities.

National Institute for Health Care Reform 

The mission of the National Institute for Health Care Reform is to conduct high-quality, objective research and policy analyses of the organization, financing and delivery of health care in the United States.

RAND: Health COMPARE 

The Comprehensive Assessment of Reform Efforts (COMPARE) site, a project of the Rand Corporation, includes assessment of the current state of the health care system, a framework for classifying health policy proposals, analyzing policy options, and modeling estimates.   

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation 

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is a not-for-profit foundation focusing on health care topics, offering news, data, articles, research reports and white papers on health policy issues. Topics include long-term care, health care coverage, reform, disparities, quality, and public health.
